The Surf Camp / hostel is a spacious surf style designed house just a 2 min walk from the Surfing beach Macumba, an ideal place for a surf camp in Brazil.
Set next to a Nature Reserve with Coconut Palm trees, tropical plants, Native birds, butterflies and monkeys pass by in the trees in front of the house.
"Its the perfect spot to relax in a hammock after a day of surfing."
We are centered in the middle of 7 different surfing beaches, making them easy to access by foot, bike and car. We are located in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, on the outer skirts of the Rio City, 40min down the coast from Ipanema. We are easily accessed by bus and taxi, or we can arrange you a pick up with our driver.
This area Macumba and Recreio is ranked the best and most consistent surf beaches in the Rio City, and held the 2008 the Girls WQS and WCT (world top 44 surfers comp) Meline Bartals (HAW) winner of the WCT has stayed with us at this Surf Camp.
Close to the Surf Camp we have the secluded beaches Prainha and Grumari, both of which have amazing jungle mountain backdrop with no development, and on a hot weekend day, are the favorite hangout beaches for surfers, famous actors, and Brazilian hot bodies. Grumari is even the spot where the beach scene from the movie City of God was filmed. These are the safest, cleanest and most relaxed beaches.
Owned by young Surf crazy travellers, (Katrina) New Zealander and (Mauro) Brazilian. Both being well travelled surfers, they have put this interesting house together for you to fall in love with surfing. "Our house is your home while you stay with us in Rio and enjoy the feeling of living and surfing in Brazil, we live in this area for a reason that you should experiance".
